1. Purpose and Function
The dump body stabilizer system shall provide adequate mechanical support to:
Prevent toppling or tilting of the tipper chassis and dump body during unloading operations, especially when operating on uneven or sloped ground.
Prevent separation of the dump body from the lifting cylinder(s) under load or due to dynamic impact during the dumping cycle.
Ensure stable and controlled movement of the dump body throughout the lifting and lowering process.
2. Design and Construction Requirements
The stabilizer mechanism shall consist of robust mechanical linkages, locking pins, or support arms, engineered to withstand the maximum rated payload and hydraulic lifting forces of the tipper.
The stabilizer system shall be designed to engage automatically or manually before or during the lifting operation of the dump body.
The design shall ensure uniform load distribution across the chassis frame to minimize stress concentration points.
Adequate reinforcement brackets or mounting points shall be provided on both the chassis and the dump body to accommodate the stabilizer assemblies.
The stabilizer components shall be made from high-tensile steel or equivalent material, treated for corrosion resistance (e.g., zinc coating, powder coating, or equivalent surface treatment).
The stabilizer mechanism shall not interfere with hydraulic lines, tipping cylinders, or tailgate operation.
